Please try the following steps in order to see if they resolve the issue.
-
Confirm the in-game volume settings
If the in-game settings include an option such as "Audio Volume", ensure that the sound is not muted, and increase the volume. -
Connect a different audio output device
If the audio is currently playing through your TV, try using a different output device, such as headphones. -
Reconnect the cable between the TV and console (e.g., HDMI cable)
Unplug the cable and plug it back in securely. If possible, try using a different cable to see if the issue persists. -
Run the Audio Setup Tool
Refer to the Xbox Support page "Troubleshoot audio on your Xbox console," and run the Audio Setup Tool on your console.
For HDMI audio, go to "Settings" > "General" > "Volume & audio output", and under "Speaker audio", select "Stereo uncompressed." -
Connect the console directly to the TV
If you are using an HDMI converter or HDMI selector, try connecting the console directly to the TV or monitor.
If the HDMI selector has an option to switch the audio output, set it to "2ch" audio.
